Laughter Therapy!
WARNING ⚠️ The following contents will make you smile
Today Jerleen, our Nursery Manager, introduced Laughter Therapy.. after a few "are you ok?", "what is she doing" and many looks of concern the girls and children couldn't help but laugh!
The children stopped what they were doing and looked concerned as the crazy lady (Jerleen) walked in laughing her head off, but of course they couldn't help but join in.. one child in Elderberries even turned to her friend whilst laughing to say "is it funny?" as she probably thought that she missed the joke. As I am writing this I still can't stop smiling. The laugh then continued as a few girls joined Jerleen as she passed the laugh to the next room.
What is laughter therapy and how is it done?
A type of therapy that uses humor to help relieve pain and stress and improve a person's sense of well-being. Fake a smile; giggle, then laugh slowly and gradually increase in tempo and volume. Hearty laughter: Spread the arms up, laugh and direct your laughter to come straight from your heart, bring the arms down and again raise them up.
